  24.     1.   The "correct directory" is inevitably under the root 
  25.          directory, so the root directory listing is huge.  I
  26.          prefer to group applications by type.
  27.         2.   Ever try to share an application across a network that
  28.              demands to run from "C:\EGOTIST" and to find all of its
  29.              configuration files there?  We have rejected several
  30.          software packages for this very reason.
